Filters a good amount of water quickly. I actually keep this on my countertop for cooking, separate from my ProOne Pitcher for drinking water kept in the fridge. I bought two Scout II portable water filters so I would have one set aside for hiking, travel, bug-out bag and other uses. Between the Scout II and the ProOne Pitcher, our family of three has plenty of filtered water available at all times, in spite of not having room for a larger unit. We all drink more water now due to the clean, fresh taste. I may eventually get another ProOne Pitcher, but for now I filter water through the pitcher and always keep another tall container in the fridge filled with filtered water (giving me two containers of water in the fridge). I’m also happy for an American made product that is easy to use and only worrying about one filter to replace.

This is the perfect portable size, approximately your average 2 liter bottle but stands a little taller when fully assembled. However, when packing the top half fits inside the bottom protecting the filter and taking up half the space. Just what I was looking for as a frequent traveler! Love that they independently test their filters and publish results unlike others. Quality!!!
