Frequently Asked Questions
Is there an ideal order to set up the cartridges in my Doulton system? Yes. The Doulton DUO systems require proper ordering to protect your water quality. The Fluoride pre-filter has a 1/4″ BSP thread that only fits the slot closest to your incoming main water flow. Your sub-micron ceramic cartridge (like the Biotect Ultra) uses a metric M12 thread and must sit in the slot furthest away from the intake, right before the water goes up to your kitchen tap.
Do I need to change my under-bench plumbing housing when I replace this filter? No, you do not. Your Doulton under-bench white plastic housing remains mounted and plumbed in place. When the 3-month lifespan is up, you simply shut off the water valve, unscrew the first vertical housing canister, remove the old 9B04 cartridge, and twist the fresh replacement into place.
